Rock Hill Schools Superintendent Lynn Moody says she’s excited about the turnout at an interest meeting Tuesday as district leaders explained the iRock program to parents and the greater Rock Hill community.

Through the initiative, the district seeks to provide every student with a mobile learning device such as an iPad to use at school and home.

Moody says the board is charged with implementing the program — either in phases or perhaps all at once. That decision may come by the end of February.

Supporters of the iRock initiative and iPads in the classroom say increased graduation rates, test scores and fewer discipline issues will come as byproducts of the program.
