Business, community leaders pledge financial support for iRock program

The Rock Hill School District Foundation is teaming up with community businesses and individuals to invest in the next generation of community leaders by putting on an event next month that will support the district’s technology programs, most notably the iRock program.

iRock centers around redefining student learning and calls for putting an iPad in the hand of every student.

A ‘High Tech Gala’ will take place Tuesday March 5th at the DiGiorgio Campus Center at Winthrop University to raise money to support a 21st Century digital innovative atmosphere in the schools.  The City of Rock Hill and Mayor Doug Echols are among the partners involved.
