Fort Mill Voters to Decide School Bond Referendum

Voters in the Fort Mill School District will decide April 30th whether the district should borrow nearly $54 million that would allow both high schools to expand by 600 students and allow a new Riverview Elementary School to be built.  The school board voted unanimously this week to put the bond referendum on the ballot.  District spokeswoman Kelly McKinney says there are benefits to expanding Nation Ford and Fort Mill High Schools.

McKinney says a third high school is inevitable, but it can be delayed and provide a significant savings to taxpayers.
