A Rock Hill man pleaded guilty Wednesday in a federal court case on weapons and drug charges.
23-year-old Jadaryl Hinton, better known as, “Young G,” pleased guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Prosecutors said Hinton was stopped on Cherry Road a year ago driving without his headlights on.
Police found two loaded firearms and 19 baggies of marijuana in his pants pocket.
Prosecutors say Hinton is a known gang member and under federal law, is prohibited from possessing firearms and/or ammunition based on prior state felony convictions. Hinton has previously been convicted with possession with intent to distribute marijuana within proximity of a school, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within the proximity of a park.
Hinton will face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and may be fined up to $750,000.
