The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum [1] will open a spotlight exhibit dedicated to ABC’s Nashville on April 5. Nashville: Like a Country Song will feature costumes, props and more from the show and will be featured within the museum’s permanent exhibition on the second floor. It will run through October 31, 2013.

Nashville focuses on the lives and careers of Rayna James (Connie Britton) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). The show also features a supporting cast of industry insiders, musicians, struggling artists and politicians. Filmed in Nashville, the series gives viewers a realistic look inside the music industry. Each episode also includes original music.

Some of the artifacts on display in Nashville: Like A Country Song include the dresses worn by Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere when performing “Wrong Song” at the Ryman Auditorium [2], guitars played by Charles Esten (“Deacon Claybourne”) and Sam Palladio (“Gunnar Scott”), a skirt worn by Clare Bowen (“Scarlett O’Connor”), artwork celebrating the Rayna Jaymes-Juliette Barnes duet “Wrong Song” and a pilot episode script autographed by the cast.

Spotlight exhibits are narratives that supplement the museum’s core exhibition, Sing Me Back Home: A Journey Through Country Music. They highlight a person, group or aspect of country music, recently donated items or special anniversaries. Other current spotlight exhibits focus on Garth Brooks [3], Jack Greene, Minnie Pearl, Hargus “Pig” Robbins, Connie Smith and Dottie West.
