Singer-songwriter Lucas Hoge’s “Medal of Honor” has been chosen by BOWTECH Archery as the official introduction and title track of their compilation album Medal of Honor, a tribute to our service men and women. A copy of the album will be included in every purchase of a BOWTECH bow as a free gift.
“I was honored when I was asked to be a part of the BOWTECH project,” Lucas said. “This seems so slight in comparison to the gift our military extends to us each and every day; I will continue to support our troops any way I can.”
The nine-song Medal of Honor collection features songs such as “Amazing Grace,” “Amen,” and “Land That I Love.” It will highlight Lucas’ recording as a proper musical dedication to our military. Lucas’ contribution to the project is directly in line with his devotion and dedication to recognizing the armed forces and their sacrifices.
Co-written by Corey Barker, “Medal of Honor” is a tribute to the men and women who serve on the front lines, the cooks and medics, and their families waiting back hope, hoping for a safe return. Lucas was inspired to write the song after visiting Iraq, Kuwait and Kosovo in 2009.
“We wanted to organize a formal dedication to our brothers and sisters of service because it seems our troops have almost been forgotten,” Michelle Dawson, BOWTECH Archery Marketing Coordinator, said. “They are in our hearts every day. When we met Lucas two years ago, we instantly loved him, his passion for our military, and his music. We knew instantly, at first listen, that we needed to name the compilation Medal of Honor; it is so very fitting.”
“Medal Of Honor” is also the official theme song of Wrangler National Patriot and available for download via www.WranglerNationalPatriot.com. Proceeds are gifted to our military. The track has additionally been featured on a variety of military compilation albums. Lucas is scheduled to return overseas on his third Wrangler National Patriot tour this summer.
