Taylor Swift Named RIAA’s Top-Selling Digital Singles Artist

Taylor Swift has been named the Recording Industry of America’s top-selling Digital Singles Artist with 39.5 million singles sales certified to date. Taylor also holds the record for the biggest digital sales week ever for a song by a woman, and for the second-largest song sales week overall. So far, she has scored 13 No. 1 singles across multiple radio formats.

In other Taylor news, she released the music video for “22,” the third pop single from her RED album, on Wednesday, March 13. “22” is the fourth single from RED. The album’s previous singles have each reached No. 1. Filmed last month in Malibu and directed by Anthony Mandler, “22” features a cast of Taylor’s real-life friends.

Taylor kicked off her RED Tour with sold-out shows in Omaha, Nebraska on March 13 and March 14. The North American leg of the tour will play 66 shows, including 13 stadium stops, in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces spanning 6 months in 2013. Taylor is also up for five ACM Awards.
