No child pornography found on assistant principal’s school computers, police say

Authorities in South Carolina have closed their local investigation into an assistant principal arrested at his home in Charlotte on child pornography charges.

Sullivan Middle School assistant principal Darin Pearson was arrested in March on child sexual exploitation charges after an investigation led police to his home in Mecklenburg County.

Rock Hill Police later seized Pearson’s school-issued computers. School district spokeswoman Elaine Baker.

Pearson was first hired by the district in 2002 and later promoted to assistant principal in 2007.

Sullivan Middle School’s website indicated Pearson’s duties included specifically working with sixth grade students.
