A call to York Police about a suspicious person Friday led officers to charge a man with two burglaries. A news release from the department says after the call was made by a concerned citizen, police located a man matching the description given by the concerned caller. Officers began speaking to Jeremy Ezell Mullinax and found items in his front pants pocket and his backpack. Police questioned Mullinax about a wallet, and he told them it belonged to a friend. An I-D in the wallet gave an address on Moss Street that officers determined had been burglarized. During an interview at the police station, Mullinax confessed to a second burglary on East Liberty Street. The 26-year-old Mullinax, who lives in McConnells, remains in the York County Detention Center without bond on at least eight charges.
