Carrie Underwood to Celebrate 5th Anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry Member

The Grand Ole Opry will celebrate Carrie Underwood’s 5th anniversary as an Opry member on Friday, June 7 with a special closing segment of the evening’s Opry performance. Carrie was inducted into the Opry by fellow member Garth Brooks in May 2008.

“Throughout the past five years, Carrie Underwood has become both a certified country music superstar and a beloved member of the Opry family,” said Pete Fisher, Grand Ole Opry vice president and general manager. “It’s been exciting to see Carrie experience career success after success, all the while returning often to the Opry stage to thrill audiences here.”
