David Nail released his new single, “Whatever She’s Got,” to country radio on Tuesday. Written by Jimmy Robbins and Jon Nite, the track is the lead single from David’s third album, due out later this year. According to David, he’s in the happiest, most peaceful stage of his life so far and his new music will reflect that.
“This record for starters, I can’t really say how it’s different without saying that I, myself am different,” he said. “Therefore the music naturally formed its own life.”
Producer Frank Liddell, who also worked with David on his first two albums agrees. “This record is a happy record and reflects to me, where he is in his life,” he said.
“Whatever She’s Got” is a song David admits is for his wife, Catherine. The first time he heard it, it reminded him of meeting her and falling in love. The couple met in Nashville and have been married for four years. “I still to this day don’t know what she has,” David said. “But I know that I like it… whatever it is.”
