Simpson says the many sponsors of the Strawberry Festival have contributed about  $150,000 so people can attend for free.

The South Carolina Strawberry Festival concludes about 9:45 p.m. Saturday with a fireworks display.

Simpson says the goal of festival organizers is to simply break even.

Simpson says parking will be very limited near Walter Elisha Park.

He says the best thing to do is to park at Fort Mill or Nation Ford High School or at First Baptist Church in Fort Mill and take shuttle buses that will be running continuously.
