Sarah Darling is kicking off summer with a new single. “Little Umbrellas,” an upbeat, carefree summertime tune, made its world premiere on Sirius XM’s ‘The Highway’ on Tuesday and will be available on iTunes June 4.
“Who doesn’t love a little umbrella drink!” Sarah said. “It’s a song that makes you want to sway in the breeze, and immediately put your toes in the sand. I’m thrilled Sirius XM’s ’The Highway’ is making the world premiere! They’ve been incredible to me in my career. Enjoy my soundtrack of summer!”
Co-written by Sarah, Rob Crosby and Doug Johnson, “Little Umbrellas” is Sarah’s first single since parting ways with her former label. John Alexander, her manager since 2011 and former Vice President of Artist Management at Black River Entertainment, will help bring “Little Umbrellas” to fans with his new company, Alexander Music Marketing & Management.
“While we explore signing with a new label partner, I want to make sure we have fresh Sarah Darling music on the radio,” John said. “And I feel that ‘Little Umbrellas’ will continue to build her story. It is simply a great summer song that shows her fun, upbeat personality.”
Sarah sold nearly 125,000 copies of her last single, “Home To Me,” which was featured on ABC’s The Bachelor.
