Comporium Communications broke ground today on a new 48,000 square foot office building in downtown Rock Hill.
The Downtown East project will be home to 150 employees from several different companies with Comporium building the facility and funding the construction in a fountain across the street.
Officials with Comporium Communications, the Warren Norman and Company, Leitner Construction and the city turned out for the event.
The building is being called Fountain Park Place.
Mayor Doug Echols says with the many projects going on in Old Town Rock Hill, it takes a long time for them to unfold.
