A little rain didn’t stop The Band Perry from putting on a memorable show when they headlined Nashville’s 4th of July “Let Freedom Sing” celebration. More than 100,000 people gathered at Nashville’s river front, braving non-stop rain for the The Band Perry and Nashville’s firework show, which consistently ranks as one of the nation’s best.
“We didn’t mind getting a little wet, it was a lot of fun!” Neil Perry said.
The sibling trio took the stage with a rendition of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” before launching into their high-energy current single, “DONE.” The crowd often sang so loud the band let them take over, saying they came to Nashville to hear fans sing.
“The fourth of July is a family holiday and we couldn’t think of a better way than spending it with our Nashville family,” Kimberly Perry said.
“To look out into the audience and see so many people who didn’t let the weather dampen their spirits was so rewarding,” Reid Perry said.
The fireworks show kicked off on the last note of the band’s “Better Dig Two,” the final song of the night from the trio. The band is currently a special guest on Rascal Flatts Live and Loud Tour.
