Athletics Director: Sports are no place for cyber-bullying

The Rock Hill School District is taking bullying — especially cyber-bullying — very seriously.

That’s particularly true in its athletics programs. Northwestern High School athletic director Lauren West says athletes can be held to a higher standard than other students.

West says some players blast coaches on social media.

She says social media needs to be used appropriately by students.

West says parents with children in Rock Hill Schools support the district’s stance on cyber-bullying.
