Cassadee Pope Feels Impact of <em>The Voice</em>

Cassadee Pope was crowned the winner of season three of NBC’s The Voice. A member of Team Blake Shelton, her time on the show has proven to have impacted who she is as an artist and the direction of her music.

“The Voice helped me to really hone in on my sound,” she said. “I started off on the show in my pop-rock stage and the more I sang on the show, the more I realized I can infuse my pop-rock influences with my country roots so that’s what I started doing on the show, and the reaction from the crowd encouraged me to do that even after the fact.” 

The show also helped her get better as a singer. “I really worked hard every day at practicing and exercising and making sure that my vocals were top notch and in shape for the show,” she said. “I learned a lot about my voice, also.”

Cassadee’s debut album, Frame by Frame, featuring her single, “Wasting All These Tears,” hits stores October 8.
