Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw & More Featured in Esquire's 80th Anniversary Issue

Esquire magazine is celebrating 80 years with a special feature, “The Life of Man.” Comprised of 80 original photographs, the issue showcases actors, sports icons, musicians, politicians, Presidents and more from ages one to 80, one for each year of the magazine. Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Tim McGraw and Blake Sheltonare included in the issue.

Representing 80, Willie told the magazine the best advice he’s ever received. “An ex-father-in-law gave it to me,” he said. “‘Take my advice and do what you want.’”

Tim also shared the best advice he’s ever received. “[It] was from Johnny Paycheck, a country singer,” he said. “He looked at me right in eye and said, ‘Son, always go hard and fast, so when you hit the ditch, you can come out on the other side.’”

Blake, 37, told the magazine what he’s most looking forward to. “November,” he said. “It’s my favorite month of the year. Because I like it when s*** dies.”

Among other men featured are Eddie Van Halen (58), Dr. Dre (48), Jason Derulo (24), Greyson Chance (16) and Ethan Bortnick (13). The 80th anniversary issue of Esquire will hit newsstands September 17.
