CMA Songwriters Series Returns to New York City

The CMA Songwriters Series will return to Joe’s Pub in New York City for a special two-night event on Wednesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 5. The show will feature Deana Carter, Rory Feek, James Slater and Bob DiPiero, who will also serve as host, sharing the stories behind their biggest hits.

Deana Carter is best known for her No. 1 smash, “Strawberry Wine,” which won CMA Song of the Year in 1997. She also penned Kenny Chesney’s hit “You and Tequila.” Rory Feek is one half of the duo Joey + Rory. He wrote or co-wrote much of their current album as well as multiple No. 1’s for other artists such as Easton Corbin’s “A Little More Country Than That” and Blake Shelton’s “Some Beach.”

James Slater has penned songs such as Martina McBride’s “In My Daughter’s Eyes,” Rascal Flatts’ “Unstoppable” and Jamey Johnson’s “The High Cost of Living.” Bob DiPiero has several No. 1 hits to his credit, including Tim McGraw’s “Southern Voice” and George Strait’s “Blue Clear Sky.”
