Steve Wariner wants to make sure fans can sing along with the songs on his new album, It Ain’t All Bad. He has released not one but 12 lyric videos, one for each song on the project. You can find the videos on VEVO .
“I’ve never released a lyric video before,” Steve said. “So when we decided to do one, I thought, why not go ahead and create one for each song on the new album? I’m really happy with how these videos turned out and I hope the fans will enjoy them.”
Here’s the lyric video for “It Ain’t All Bad”:
“We started offering free video guitar lessons a few years ago around my guitar instrumental albums,” Steve said. “They were so much fun to create and received such a great response from the fans, so we decided to do them for It Ain’t All Bad as well. The lessons are geared towards someone who already knows how to play guitar and wants to know how I performed certain licks in my songs. We’ll be releasing a different video guitar lesson every few weeks, so I hope people will keep visiting the website to see the latest one.”
Steve will perform at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, October 5 at 3 p.m. for an afternoon concert in celebration of the Opry’s 88th birthday. During his performance, “NANCY” comic strip creator Guy Gilchrist will present him with the original artwork from the Augugst 25 strip that honored both him and the Opry’s birthday. Afterward, he will sign copies of It Ain’t All Bad in the Opry Shop. He will also perform on the evening Opry shows as well.
“Being a member of the Grand Ole Opry is something I treasure, and I am honored to help celebrate its 88th birthday,” he said. “And I look forward to seeing the original art for the ‘Nancy’ comic strip that Guy Gilchrist was so kind to include me in. He’s such a talented artist and a good friend.”
Keeping up with his busy schedule, Steve will participate in a live twitter chat on Monday, October 7 at 10/9c. Fans can follow along and ask questions by using the hashtag #CMchat. Additionally, an exhibit of his artwork, “Wariner’s Watercolors: Paintings by Steve Wariner” will open at the Tennessee State Museum on October 11 and run through December 29. The exhibit will feature more than two dozen paintings and artworks created by Steve.
“This is truly the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for me,” Steve said. “I’ve been drawing and painting since I was a kid. In fact, I probably would have gone to school to get an art degree if Dottie West hadn’t discovered me performing music when I was 17. I’ve had the opportunity to display my artwork at a few places, including CMA Music Festival this past summer, but this is my first museum exhibition. I am really excited and hope people come out to see it.”
