George Strait & Taylor Swift Win Billboard Touring Awards

George Strait and Taylor Swift were among the winners at Billboard’s 10thAnnual Billboards Touring Awards, which took place November 14 in New York City. Hosted by Gary Dell’Abate, executive producer of “The Howard Stern Show,” the awards honored the concert industry’s top artists, venues and professionals for the year.

George was named the 2013 Billboard Legend of Live. Taylor picked up the Top Pack Award, which honored the top-grossing tour with three or more artists no the bill. Taylor’s RED Tour featured Ed Sheeran, Joel Crouse, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line and Casey James.

Bon Jovi was a big winner on the night, being honored with the Top Tour Award for the top grossing tour as well as the Top Draw Award, recognizing the top ticket selling tour. They also received the Eventful Fans’ Choice Award, which was determined by fan “demands” at Eventful.com. One Direction received the Breakthrough Award and the Concert Marketing & Promotion Award went to The Rolling Stones.

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California took home the Top Festival Award, while Jeff Dunham received the Top Comedy Award for the third year in a row.  Billboard’s 2013 Woman of the Year, P!nk took home the Top Boxscore award, while the O2 Arena in London won the Top Arena award.

The Billboard Touring Awards reception wrapped the two-day sold out Billboard Touring Conference which united today’s top touring professionals with a roster of speakers including a panel on the Grateful Dead with Electronic DJ/Recording Artist Skrillex and a keynote Q&A with Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters.
