Jon Pardi will be doing Christmas a little differently this year. Instead of heading home to California to be with his family, he plans to remain in Nashville to have surgery on his knee to repair his meniscus, an injury left over from a previous knee surgery on his ACL. He still plans to be in the Christmas spirit, however.
“I’m going to get my own Christmas tree and some Christmas tree lights, and I’m going to play some Christmas music,” he said. “I’ll probably Facetime my family, and just make the best of it and get all my friends and roommates who’ll be here and we’re gonna have a Christmas party.
“It’s gonna be sad that I won’t get to make it home to California for Christmas,” he added. “It’ll be the first time ever I have not been there for my mom, and she is super sad.”
His latest single, “Up All Night,” is climbing the charts at country radio. He will release his debut album, Write You a Song, on January 14.
