Florida Georgia Line’s career took off at warp speed with the success of their debut single, “Cruise,” which went on to become the best-selling digital country single of all time. As their career continues to sour, the duo has learned to adjust to their new hectic lifestyle by making time for short personal breaks.
“We do little things on our own that give us getaway time, whether it’s work out or ride a motorcycle, or go play basketball, or whatever it is just to keep our sanity and get away from life for second,” Tyler Hubbard said. “I think we’re runnin’ on adrenaline to the point of, you know, let’s just roll with it and see what happens. It’s a big adjustment.”
Tyler admits their busy schedule has impacted the time they have to spend with family and friends, but they’re learning how to make it work. “It’s something that we’ve worked hard for and we wanna be where we’re at,” he said. “We love it and it does take a passion for music and a love for what you’re doin’ to be able to do it, but I think we’re learning how to balance it pretty well.”
The duo just topped the charts for a fourth straight time with their latest single, “Stay.”
