ACM Lifting Lives has announced that the January “My Cause” web feature will spotlight Sara Evans and the organization Alabama Forever. The monthly series brings awareness to artist-supported charitable organizations. It also supports fundraising efforts for those organizations. To watch the web feature, visit www.ACMLiftingLives.org.

Alabama Forever was founded in response to the April 27, 2011 tornadoes that ripped through the state of Alabama. Founded as a response to the storms, Alabama Forever goes far beyond disaster relief. Their core purpose is to help Alabama communities maintain the best possible life for citizens for generations to come.

My Cause allows ACM Lifting Lives to demonstrate the Academy’s support of country artists. Over the past two years, ACM Lifting Lives has donated more than $190,000 to artists’ favorite charities and will again make donations.

ACM Lifting Lives is the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music, dedicated to improving lives through music. Each year, the organization provides grants to music therapy and music education programs. It also supports members of the country music community facing unexpected medical or financial hardship.
